24. Projects
The special interest project can only be done in the final year of the Advanced Diploma course.
The project is designed to enable you to pursue a particular area of interest. As such, the project is meant to be a mature piece of reflection, research or analysis completed towards the end of your Diploma studies.
The project will be assessed at the standard of a first year university degree course. It is to be 4,000 words in length.
The topic for research must be different from those covered in other subjects, except that a more detailed study of a topic or area studied only briefly in other subjects may be acceptable. The topic is to be decided upon in consultation with a supervisor appointed by Mary Andrews College, with whom you will meet regularly to discuss the progress of your work.
