Mary Andrews College

Mary Andrews College is a bible college which exists to equip women to serve Christ. We offer unique and accessible lay training for women.

We are evangelical in emphasis and seek to develop Christian thinking in a way that relates living biblical faith to each student's personal, work and community contexts.

Mary Andrews College offers four Australian College of Theology courses:

  • Diploma of Theology
  • Diploma of Ministry
  • Advanced Diploma of Theology
  • Advanced Diploma of Ministry


The Australian College of Theology

The Australian College of Theology (ACT) was established in 1891 by the General Synod of the Anglican Church in Australia. The Australian College of Theology is a national consortium of twenty Bible and theological colleges. Mary Andrews College is one of the member colleges of the Australian College of Theology.

The Australian College of Theology is a national Higher Education Provider (HEP). Each of the Australian College of Theology member colleges are teaching sites for the Australian College of Theology's courses. Their Diploma and degree courses are accredited by the various government education departments.

Diploma students who are doing the assessments may be eligible to apply for government FEE-HELP. The Diploma courses are also Austudy approved for full time assessment students.


Academic Board

Mary Andrews College has an Academic Board comprising the Director of Studies, the Registrar, lecturers, the CEO of our parent body, the Anglican Deaconess Institution Sydney Limited (ADISL), and a person external to Mary Andrews College. Decisions concerning courses and assessments are made by the Board in line with The Australian College of Theology regulations.

Students are able to interact with the Board by writing to the Registrar, who will present any questions or concerns to the Board.
