Bursaries

The Narelle Jarrett Bursaries are named in honour of Rev. Narelle Jarrett, Archdeacon for Women in the Sydney Diocese. During her time as Principal of Mary Andrews College from 1985 to 2007, she initiated the Diploma program as a means of training lay women in the Bible and practical ministry skills.

There are four bursaries of $980 each per calendar year to cover the cost of enrolment in a Diploma subject. The bursaries are open to new and current students.

Closing dates for bursaries are 31 May (for Semester 2) and 31 October (for Semester 1 in the following year).

Criteria Applications must be made on the prescribed form. Bursaries are awarded by a competitive application process and are open to current and prospective students of Mary Andrews College. The bursary will cover the full cost of enrolment in a subject for the Diplomas or Advanced Diplomas of Ministry or Theology at Mary Andrews College.

The Mary Andrews Prize is awarded at the annual College graduation ceremony to the student with the best grade in any Diploma subject at the level of High Distinction.
