Certificate in Theology

Mary Andrews College offers the Australian College of Theology's (ACT) Certificate in Theology course. This course is designed to further the education of adults in Christian faith and life. It will give you a general foundation of biblical knowledge and a strong basis for developing practical ministry skills.

The aim of this course is to stimulate the interest of alert and enquiring minds. What is required is not so much academic scholarship as an understanding of Christian theology and its implication for contemporary life. In particular, this course will give you a biblical basis and practical skills in caring for people pastorally. This is a vital ministry for building up the body of Christ and also for taking up opportunities to share your faith with others.

The Certificate in Theology course consists of three core subjects:

Old Testament Overview
New Testament Overview
Christian Belief

plus three electives.  A total of six subjects must be passed to receive a Certificate in Theology.  The Certificate in Theology is not assessed at the same level as the Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses.

The cost is just $310 for each subject.  The cost for auditing (i.e. attendance only) these subjects is also $310 per subject.

Certificate subjects are offered fortnightly across a semester.
