Certificate in Theology


From 2010 Mary Andrews College will be offering the Australian College in Theology (ACT) Certificate in Theology. This Course is designed to further the education of adults in Christian faith and life. It will give you a general foundation of biblical knowledge and a strong basis for developing practical ministry skills.

The aim of the Course is to stimulate the interest of alert and enquiring minds. What is required is not so much academic scholarship as an understanding of Christian theology and its implication for contemporary life. In particular, this course is will give you a biblical basis and practical skills in caring for people pastorally. This is a vital ministry for building up the body of Christ and also for taking up opportunities to share your faith with others.

The Certificate in Theology consists of three core subjects and three electives. A total of six subjects must be passed to receive a Certificate in Theology. This Certificate in Theology is not assessed at the same level as the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Theology.

All Certificate subjects are offered fortnightly, with eight classes per subject.
