Q. Who is the Certificate in Theology for?
The Certificate in Theology course is ideal for those who are already involved in caring for others in some way. Doing a course like this will also help your relationships generally and with those closest to you. Effective ministry needs to be developed and nurtured. This course will provide the foundations you need but not consume all your time. In fact you can use some of your current ministry as the basis for other practical biblical courses. Learn while you are participating.
Q. How is the Certificate in Theology assessed?
The subjects in the Certificate are all assessed by assignments only. There are no exams.
Q. Where is Certificate in Theology the taught?
The course is offered at our city teaching centre and at Emu Plains in 2012. It can be completed through regular lectures across two semesters.
Q. What educational qualifications do I need to apply?
Students are normally admitted upon satisfactory completion of Year 10, or to such other persons approved by The Australian College of Theology (ACT).
Q. How does the Australian College of Theology fit in?
The Australian College of Theology (ACT) is a national consortium of 18 Bible and theological colleges. The ACT was established in 1891 by the General Synod of the Church of England in Australia.
Mary Andrews College is one of the member colleges of the ACT. The ACT is a national Higher Education Provider (HEP). Each of the ACT member colleges are teaching sites for its courses.

Q. Can I choose not to do the assessments ?
Yes, some students choose to simply attend the lectures and do not undertake the assessments that are required for the Certificate in Theology. This is called auditing.
Q. How much do Certificate in Theology subjects cost?
The cost is $310 per subject. The cost is the same for auditing students (i.e. attendance only).
(The Certificate in Theology is unaccredited, therefore FEE-HELP is not available for this course.)
