Rev. Jackie Stoneman
DipMusEd, AMusA, LTCL, ThL, D'ss H'se Diploma (Hons), MA (Chaplaincy)

Director of Studies Jackie has been on the Faculty of Mary Andrews College since 1994. Originally a High School Music teacher, Jackie trained at Moore Theological College and spent the following ten years in parish ministry. During her time at Mary Andrews College she has been actively involved in Abbotsford Anglican Church, the Kairos prison ministry and training as a Clinical Pastoral Education Supervisor. Jackie teaches Pastoral and Communication subjects, in addition to overviews of the Old and New Testaments. jackiestoneman@mac.edu.au

Liz McCoy
BA, PGCE, AdvDipTh, MA (Theology)

Part-time Teacher Liz is a Mary Andrews College alumnus and has taught part-time with the College since 2001. Over the last ten years she has been involved in lay ministry including preaching, leading, scripture teaching at four of the local primary and high schools, and general pastoral work at Austinmer Anglican Church. Liz also serves in the Kairos prison ministry at Berrima jail, teaching English for Life to migrants in Warrawong and is active with the local Tear Australia group. Margery Mills

Part-time Teacher Marge has been on the Mary Andrews College faculty since 2005. She has been involved in Parish ministry along with her husband since 1992 and they are currently ministering at Mittagong Anglican Church. margemills@mac.edu.au


Margaret Wesley

BSc, MDiv

Part-time Teacher Margaret began teaching with Mary Andrews College in 2008. She has been involved in various areas of pastoral ministry for sixteen years, beginning at St Barnabas' Broadway. Margaret draws on insights from psychology (particularly Family Systems Theory and Myers Briggs) in applying Biblical principles for living, relating and ministering well. Sarah Barry

BSc (UNSW)

As Registrar, Sarah is responsible for the administration of the Diploma and Advanced Diploma Bible courses. She has been with Mary Andrews College since 1995 and Registrar from 2008. She is a member of St Paul's Anglican Church South Coogee. sarahbarry@mac.edu.au

 

Barbara van Waart

Barbara is the library assistant. She has been working at Mary Andrews College assisting with course administration since 2006 and with the library and other administration since 2008. She is a member of St Martin's Anglican Church Blakehurst.



Visiting Teachers

Narelle Jarrett
BA, DipEd, ThL (2nd Cl Hons), BD

Narelle is the Archdeacon for Women's Ministry in the Sydney Anglican Diocese, since 2002. She was the Principal of Mary Andrews College from 1985 to 2007. She is a member of St Paul's Anglican Church South Coogee.



Jill Williams
BA, DipEd, BTh, DipA

Jill is the Senior Assistant Minister at Christ Church Inner West in the Ashfield, Five Dock and Haberfield Anglican parish. She was a faculty member of Mary Andrews College for eight years to 1996.



 

Dr Karin Sowada
PhD, BA (Hons), Aff ANZFII (Aff)

Karin holds degrees in Near Eastern and Egyptian archaeology, and has worked on archaeological projects in Egypt, Israel, Australia and Jordan. She is widely published in academic and popular sources on topics as wide-ranging as mummies, Egyptian foreign relations and the archaeology of ancient cemeteries. She is the CEO of the Anglican Deaconess Institution Sydney Limited and will teach "Archaeology and the Bible" for Mary Andrews College, where she also sits on the Academic Board.
