The purpose of this subject is to prepare you to pastorally care for seniors and to encourage seniors to participate fully in the life of the church.
Learning Outcomes
1. To be able to explain the needs and challenges of seniors;
2. To be able to describe the theological, pastoral and ethical issues relating to ministry to seniors;
3. To be able to understand the basic principles of adult learning theory and their application;
4. To be able to demonstrate an understanding of the types of pastoral care that will be most beneficial to seniors;
5. To be able to explore ways that seniors can be encouraged to contribute to the life of the church.
