Section B: The Founder and Head of the Christian Community:

1. The Gospels: their nature, purpose, authors.
2. The Gospel according to St. Mark: its contents, structure and simple exegesis.

Section C: The Early Christian Community:

1. Its life, belief, mission and growth (a study of Acts 1-15).
2. An early congregation: difficulties encountered and Paul's response to them (a study of 1 Corinthians 1-11)
3. A message of hope to churches under threat of persecution (a study of 1 Peter).
