Q. Who is the Pastoral Care Course for?

The Pastoral Care Course is suitable for those who want to do a short course to learn more about pastoral care and how to use it in life and ministry and is ideal for those already involved in caring for others in some way. It aims to provide students with a biblical foundation and develop practical skills in caring for people pastorally which aim to help your relationships generally, including those closest to you. Effective ministry needs to be developed and nurtured.

Q. What previous education is required?

Students are normally admitted upon satisfactory completion of Year 10, or to such other persons approved by Mary Andrews College.

Q. How is the Pastoral Care Course assessed?

The two subjects in this course are assessed by assignments only. There are no exams.

Q. Where is the Pastoral Care Course taught?

The Pastoral Care Course is offered at at our premises in the city. It can be completed through fortnightly lectures in school terms across two semesters.

Q. Can I choose not to do the assessments ?

Yes, some students choose to simply attend the lectures and do not undertake the assessments that are required for the Pastoral Care Course. This is called auditing.

Q. How much do these two subjects cost?

The cost is $310 for each subject. The cost is the same for auditing students.

(The two subjects in this course can be also be studied at Certificate or Diploma level.)
