The Pastoral Care Course is suitable for those who want to do a short Course to learn more about pastoral care and how to use it in life and ministry and is ideal for those already involved in caring for others in some way. It aims to provide students with a biblical foundation and develop practical skills in caring for people pastorally which aim to help your relationships generally, including those closest to you. Effective ministry needs to be developed and nurtured.
What previous education is required?
A good high school pass will be sufficient for this course.
Is the Pastoral Care Course accredited?
The Course is not externally credited. You will receive a certificate from Mary Andrews College, awarded at the annual Graduation.
How is the Pastoral Care Course assessed?
The two subjects in this course are both assessed by assignments only. There are no exams.
Where is the Pastoral Care Course taught?
The Pastoral Care Course is offered at the Ryde and City Teaching Centres. It can be completed through fortnightly lectures in school terms across two semesters.
Can I credit the Pastoral Care Course towards other courses?
The Pastoral Care Course can be credited towards a Certificate with the Australian College of Theology.
How much does the Pastoral Care Course Cost?
The Pastoral Care Course is unaccredited by the government. Therefore FEE-HELP is not available for this course. The cost is $290 for each subject.
