Prayers & Thanksgiving
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." Ephesians 6:18
- Thank God for an exciting 2012 planned, in which He is enabling Mary Andrews College to continue to develop its ministries.
- Thank God for the upcoming 2012 Oasis Canberra conference on 3 March. Please pray for a good attendance at this conference and that people will benefit greatly from it. Please pray for the committee based in Sydney and the one in Canberra as they attend to the many details of running a conference.
- Thank God for the opportunity to develop a prayer ministry at Mary Andrews College. Thank God for the $6000 in donations that have come in so far for this new initiative.
Pray for Margaret Wesley as she begins to implement ideas that will encourage prayer for the college and for people associated with Mary Andrews College. Also pray that we will be a prayer training resource as we run seminars and retreats.
- Thank God for the upcoming Vinegrowers Conference on Saturday 17 March 2012 with Col Marshall. Col is the author of The Trellis and the Vine. This conference is designed to encourage women to see the practical ways they can disciple other women and the positive impact that this can have in the life of individuals and church communities.
Please pray for Col as he prepares for this day.
Please pray that many women will take up this opportunity to be equipped for this vital task.
- Thank God for the visit of Dr. Sharon Morris May in June 2012 and the opportunity to run some very helpful events:
- On Thursday 21 June there will be a one day seminar for ministry workers to encourage their marriages as they face the pressures of ministry. Dr. Morris-May will speak at this day.
- On Friday 22 June to Sunday 24 June Dr. Morris May will be the keynote speaker at the 2012 Oasis Conference.
- On Thursday 28 June to Friday 29 June 2012 Dr. Morris May will be one of the keynote speakers at Mary Andrews College’s inaugural conference known as Christian Care Network Australasia, which will be a biennial conference focusing on pastoral issues. This year’s conference will be called Loss and Discovery.
Please pray that the organisation for all these events will go smoothly, especially for Leeanne Smith, Margaret Wesley and Jackie Stoneman.
Please pray that people will take up this wonderful opportunity to be ministered to by an internationally recognised Christian woman who will have much to teach us and encourage us in applying God’s word to relationships and grief.
- Thank God for the people who are enrolling in courses in 2012. Please pray that churches will encourage people to do these courses. Please pray for our faculty as they prepare for teaching and for our administration staff as they provide the vital structure that enables these courses to run.
