Learning Outcomes
To explore the nature of women's ministry and to provide opportunity for thinking about theological and pastoral issues of particular relevance to women.
At the conclusion of this subject, candidates are to be able to:
1. Understand more thoroughly their identity in Christ and biblical teaching on meaning and purpose;
2. Help others to explore theological and pastoral teaching on issues relevant to women's lives.

Content
1. Using the Bible: an examination of the issues involved in interpreting and applying the bible to issues of today
2. Christ and woman's identity
3. The spiritual growth and life of a woman
4. Matters of ministry
5. Students to select from the following topics six that they wish to explore. The various approaches to each topic will be critiqued with a view to students understanding these approaches and being able to develop and biblically support their own conclusions. Topics: ministry; leadership; submission; women and marriage; separation, divorce, remarriage; fertility and infertility; pregnancy termination; stem cell research; domestic violence; singleness (e.g. unmarried, previously married, widowed); the life of the single parent; depression; multiculturalism; reconciliation - the hopes of indigenous women; guilt and forgiveness; sexual practice (e.g. premarital, marital, lesbian); euthanasia; children - their Christian nurture and care; stages in a woman's life.
