‘Women Who Do’

The ABC Compass episode “Women Who Do” captures how Anglican Deaconess Ministries (ADM) has responded to changing contexts and needs, over its almost 130-year history, to raise up women with theological formation for practical and public engagement. The episode looks at the work of early deaconesses in hospitals, schools and children’s homes to the current initiatives like meal delivery services and theatre performances that ADM supports, as well as ADM’s theological college, Mary Andrews College, which was originally known as Deaconess House.
