Hybrid Learning
Flexible study, real connections
At Mary Andrews College, we believe that studying God’s word happens best when you are able to access learning wherever you are.
When you come to study at Mary Andrews College, you can study each of your units in-person or online*. Wherever you are, students meet together for classes, joining together with our community across the country, building relationships and encouraging one another in their learning.
Students in the classroom and at home all have the opportunity to ask questions of their lecturers and to participate in group discussions and activities with other students in their class.
* Occasional units are offered online only.
Classes at MAC run in hybrid mode, meaning students in-person and online meet together for classes in real-time.
I thought with Zoom that I wouldn’t be able to interact and be relational with the lecturers and students, but it is very possible! … It’s terrific! I’ve got some lifelong friends already.”
– Annette, a MAC student who lives 2 hours south of Sydney

Online learning
Our online students join live classes via Zoom.
A dedicated Zoom host welcomes you into class each week 15 minutes early, giving you the chance to catch up for a chat with some of your peers before class begins, just like you would in the classroom.
Zoom chat, class forum discussions, small group discussions, and other educational tools like Kahoot, are used by our lecturers to ensure you have the opportunity to connect and engage as much as possible, wherever you are across Australia.

In-person learning
Our in-person students join us on campus in the Sydney CBD.
The setup of our Zoom classrooms means students on Zoom see not only their lecturers but also see their peers in the classroom.
